ATA
(American Translators Association)
For forty-three years, the American Translators Association, referred to
as the ATA, has been meeting and emphasizing the importance of language
training and the professions of translator and interpreter.
EAIE
(European association of International Educators)
Non-for-profit organization whose main aim is the stimulation and facilitation
of the internationalization of higher education in Europe and around the world,
and to meet the professional needs of individuals active in international education
The goal of the Association is to stimulate and facilitate the internationalization
of education, in particular higher education, in Europe; and to meet the professional
needs of individuals active in international education.
The Association seeks to enhance and defend the quality of international education
by supporting the professional activities of its members. It has a unique role
within Europe in bringing together fellow-professionals in all aspects of the
international relations of education, throughout the continent and beyond.
NAFSA (National Association of Foreign Educators)
Promotes the exchange of students and scholars to and from the United States.
The Association sets and upholds standards of good practice and provides professional
education and training that strengthen institutional programs and services related
to international educational exchange. NAFSA provides a forum for discussion
of issues and a network for sharing information as it seeks to increase awareness
of and support for international education in higher education, in government,
and in the community.
NAFSA members--numbering more than eight thousand individuals from all 50
states and 80 countries--share a belief that international educational exchange
advances learning and scholarship, builds respect among different peoples, and
encourages constructive leadership in a global community.
TAICEP (The Association for International Credential Evaluation Professionals)
Is an international professional association that has single purpose of supporting and serving the profession of international evaluation.
